David Lee Roth (sometimes referred to as "Diamond Dave") (born 10 October 1955, in Bloomington, Indiana) is an American rock vocalist, songwriter, actor, author, and former radio personality, best known for his work with the band Van Halen, which he officially re-joined on February 2, 2007 after 22-year absence (although they recorded two songs together in 1996 for a best-of collection, it was not acknowledged as an official reunion).
